Description
Takahashi MEWLON M-210
Takahashi's Mewlon Series of Dall-Kirkham Telescopes ombine refractor-like performance in a larger folded optic reflector design.
Optical surfaces of the Mewlon series is at least λ/20 which results in a highly concentrated airy disc, resulting in pin point star images and high contrast fields. The primary mirror is installed in a specially designed mirror cell that is designed to reduce astigmatism.
The Mewlon-210 remains a compact telescope. Easily transportable, it does not require a large mount to operate. Its F/111.5 focal ratio is primarily intended for planetary imaging but it remains versatile during observations. The focus, achieved by translating the primary mirror, is very smooth and very precise. The integrated 7x50 scope finder is adjustable and will serve as a handle for transport.
Male and a female Vixen dovetails.
